TEN SELF-DEFENCE IMPLEMENTS;THE PALM STRIKE


Today I will be talking about the top ten self-defence implements or body parts.Beginning from the bottom of the list,I will be talking today,about the palm strike
The palm strike can be a very devastating strike when properly applied. The palm strike is always performed with an open hand fingers extended. Contact is made to the target with the heel of the hand. It is a very simple technique that can be devastating. Even when been applied by people small in stature. Palm strikes can be applied in an upward vertical motion, a horizontal motion, or a downward vertical motion. Palm strikes can be used in combination with lock holds to break joints or bones. A horizontal strike to the sternum, kidney, groin, nose or ear can be very effective. However, the most popular type of palm strike is an upward thrust to the chin. This strike is very easy, because you transfer all of the energy directly from the ground, straight up through your body into the palm of your hand. It is a direct upward thrust where the palm of the hand makes contact directly with the chin. its effects are felt instantly by the attacker. This strike will force the jaw closed and force they headed back. When the head is forced back it will move the body out of position creating an imbalance in the person's posture. It will also allow you to get a second strike in as the individual will not be able to see your next strike. This is the perfect time for a knee or fist to the groin or a second palm strike to the sternum. You may also have time to drive heel of your foot into the knee of your attacker. If you practice these defensive attacks it is possible to get all three strikes in under a second.
Another good way to apply this technique is to step on the foot of the attacker and simultaneously use a Palm strike to the inside or outside part of the knee. It is very important to remember, you want to drive through the target. Think of your hand as a rock. If you drop a rock into the water, the rock will not stop or bounce back. It will fall to the bottom. Don't hold back use all your energy and drive through the target area.
If an attacker has you by the neck with arms outstretched. There is another effective technique, you can use. In an almost simultaneous attack, you want to raise your knee into the groin or leg of the attacker and then without hesitation, use a double palm strike to the elbows of the attackers extended arms. Your chin, will act as a lock to the attacker's hands. When you strike, keep your elbows tight to your body and push straight up on the elbows of the attacker. This will hyperextend the elbow, forcing them to release their grip.
It is often said that the bigger an opponent is, the harder they will fall. This may be true, but if you don't know how to go about causing an assailant to fall, then it is nothing more than a useless saying.
Close Combat
Sometimes no matter what you do, it is impossible to avoid a fight. You may try to prevent an attack from happening and resolve the situation without violence, but a person who is determined to assault you might not be willing to back down. These are the moments when a self defense weapon such as pepper spray or a stun device will be truly useful, but even if you are unarmed, you must be able to protect yourself from being injured or even killed.
Hand to hand fighting, also known as close combat may be your only option. Knowing a few basic techniques can help you survive an attack without getting seriously hurt.
Pressure Points
The human body has many different points throughout that can cause a great deal of pain when hit properly. A direct hit on these areas can put a quick end to a fight. There are many of these to aim for:
A blow that lands squarely on the forehead with sufficient pressure can knock an assailants head back and cause whiplash. Hitting the eyes is not only very painful, but it can also temporarily damage the criminal's vision, giving you time to get away. Punching the nose can lead to a fracture, bleeding and the end to a fight. Striking the collarbone with sufficient force can break it, thus disabling your attacker completely. A kick to the knee or groin is usually enough to bring an immediate conclusion to any confrontation. Keep these key areas in mind if you find yourself under attack, and strike back quickly, aggressively and with as much force as you can to defend yourself.
Using The Right Body Weapon
Depending on the part of the body you intend to strike, there are two standard methods of attack. When hitting a smaller area such as the nose, eyes or groin, it is better to use a larger weapon, such as a full fist, elbow or your foot. This will concentrate a large amount of force on to a small area to do the maximum amount of damage possible.
Conversely, when aiming for a larger target such as the stomach, head or chest, a more pinpointed strike is ideal. Larger body parts can absorb a hit from a fist or elbow a little easier than it can a more direct and focused blow. One of the best ways to do this is with a knuckle punch. It is very similar to a normal punch, but you are focusing the power of the strike into your knuckles instead of your entire hand. Use this technique by starting to make a fist, but folding your fingers back only part of the way so that the knuckles extend out. Strike your larger target directly with the knuckles to give an intensely concentrated and powerful strike. Do not, however, use this style of hit on a person's head, as the hard bone could damage your hand.
Palm Strike
Another useful combat technique is the palm strike. For this you hold your hand open, and use your palm to make a hit. The power in this come from incorporating your entire body into the strike. Don't just swing with your arm, start with your feet and lift yourself upward to create a tremendous amount of force. The energy that begins at your feet will move upward and end at your palm, which will make a powerful weapon when used to strike the head, chest or back of your attacker.
If you are attacked, it is essential to react quickly and use anything you can to your advantage. The techniques discussed here are meant to help give you some basic self defense knowledge. :”GETTING THE GUN OFF HIS HANDS”



If you’ve ever faced a Gun beingn pointed at you:you must have really had lots of thoughts crossing your mind.
You begin to think:Will this be the end?
Would I see Mummy again?
Would I be in hell in a couple of minutes?
If this guy shoots me,will it be painful?
Wil I cry or worse off?
What will people say about me?
etc

That is the kind of thought which runs across the mind of anyone faced with a Gun?
But should you really be scared of a Gun?

Today,I decided to talk about facing an attacker who holds a short gun.The short gun is the most commonly used type of Gunson everyday scenarios.Most people feel it is safe to hold a Gun as to them,it is a source of self-defence.
How then do you react to a guy who stand in front of you holding a short Gun and that short Gun is pointed to your face.
To defend yourself a aginst an attacker with a short Gun,there are two techniques.Today I will be talking about the first one.
For today ,I will be introducing the slump-technique called :’THE TECHNO AERIONO’.
The Techno Aeriono is probably the most effective way of disengaging an attacker who holds a Gun against you.
Before anyone can use the TECHNO AERIONO,he/she must be very fast and must be capable of controlling the Adrenal Rush.I will be talking about the Adrenal rush in future writings.

PERFECT SCENARIO
When you are put in the defensive position with your attacker aiming a gun at your haed.First,you should hold your breath for about ten seconds to control the Adrenal Rush.
Next,Look at the trigger of the Gun being held by your attacker and check if the trigger is already pulled,to decide how fast you will be.
Next,move forward in split seconds and hold the hand being used by your attacker to hold the Gun with your two hands.Next if you were on the left position before your move,hold the attackers hands and push it to the right and vice versa.

At this point,you will notice that you are somewhat backing your attacker.Match hard on his feet and elbow him/her on the stomach twice.He/she will immediately loose grip-control of the Gun,while still holding the Gun.
Next,attack your attacker with a knee kick on the groin.He/she immediately looses total control of the Gun.

If you have ever wondered how important fitness
and strength training is in self-defense, you
need to read this message VERY carefully.

Those of you in your advanced stages of training
might be thinking:

"Fitness and strength don't matter in self-
defense, Strength and confidence from
weight loss gives you false confidence, remember?"

And to an extent you are right. But here is the
interesting thing;

If you get into your ideal body shape at the
right time, or improve your physical condition
at the right time, you will be LESS likely to
get victimized, picked on or selected by a bunch
of mindless thugs.


And I know there are a lot of you out there who
are really worried about your physical condition.

Some want to lose weight, others want to get fit,
some want to go the whole hog and get the Brad
Pitt body.

To those of you who have already asked me about
this, thanks. Your questions have really helped
me to develop the up and coming fitness program.

For those of you who haven't even thought about
what kind of fitness/weight loss you are aiming
for, now is the time to do it.

I need you to answer the following questions in your mind;

1) How important is your health compared to
defending yourself from an attack?

2) What is the hardest thing for you in
keeping in shape/losing weight? (Time? Effort?)

3) How long do you spend roughly each week
exercising?

4) What is the kind of body/weight you would
like to have?

5) Which do you prefer when learning something?

ANGER;A PART OF FEAR


Yesterday, I saw something on TV that got
me so pissed off...

This narcissistic nut was ranting about how
rape victims are "weak" for letting
themselves be defeated when they are
attacked.

Now, any SANE person has to accept that
this is complete bullcrap.

But sadly, and I'm sure a lot of you reading
this letter will know, martial arts and self
defense is FULL of complete NUTS spouting
garbage like this!

As part of my training, I teach people how
to deal with insult and anger, and how to
come the realization that anger is just
another form of fear.

But I still cant help but get mad at people
saying stuff like that, its just a big fat
LIE.

Yes, these people are in fact lying to YOU
and THEMSELVES, and not just because they
are misinformed.

In an attack of any kind, you cant just
SWITCH OFF your emotions. Especially attacks
that have happened in the past, or bullying
that happened, that's really going to leave a
psychological mark on you.

The other reason these guys don't know what
they are talking about is that during an
attack, your mind AUTOMATICALLY blocks out the
most traumatic parts. Its almost like having
a safety valve on your memory, so the worst
parts don't affect you.

You have probably heard somebody at some point
say that you are WEAK, because you FREEZE or
PANIC when somebody threatens or attacks you.

Its not weakness, it's a REFLEX.

The important thing about reflexes is they
CANT BE CHANGED. Your body has natural
reflexes that happen UNCONSCIOUSLY, so why
should you try to retrain them? Don't forget
that you need adrenaline, it's a powerful drug
that your body controls, and it can save your
life.

The reason why a lot of people FREEZE on the
spot is because they are going into SHOCK.
Their minds are trying to BLOCK OUT the
traumatic experiences they have had, all those
bad memories of intimidation, fear and even
social rejection can surface in a self defense
situation.

The key to beating the FREEZING and PANIC is to
train at RANDOM. That doesn't mean your training
partner attacks you when you walk down the street,
but they might grab you at any time in any way
with extreme force.

Now that might not give you the exact same SHOCK
in a real fight, but that's not the point.

The point is you will be able to REVIEW what
happened. You cant REVIEW a traumatic experience
like rape, no matter what any of those morons say.
It just isn't practical.

But you can review less traumatic experiences,
like someone putting you in a head lock in a
training situation, or swinging wild random punches
at you. As long as you don't tell them what attack
is coming, and you start to remember your mistakes,
its GOOD training.

But what ever you do, don't beat yourself up about
the past. Especially when you hear those morons
talking about how they would have dealt with it.
These people usually don't get out enough to even
realize what trauma, intimidation or real violence
is.

Pride, Bullying and Fighting Back


One thing that ALWAYS shows itself in a fight or attack is PRIDE.
What might surprise you is that pride is actually one of the
biggest dangers when you are trying to defend yourself.

Pride causes more deaths than anything else. Whether its murders
caused by jealous lovers or even just an argument over a hotdog at
a food stand that got out of control, pride really doesn't help
when you want to stay alive.

One thing I get asked a lot is WHY pride takes over in a fight
situation, especially when it transforms into FEAR and PANIC.
There are two reasons why I think pride can get even the smallest
argument or misunderstanding out of control.

The first is something that's based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs.
This is a really deep topic, and there is a whole ton of stuff you
can read up on, but I'll simplify it for you just to explain better
what I mean.
The psychologist Maslow basically says there are 5 levels of needs
we have in life, and arranges them in a pyramid shape. A diagram is

The lowest level, the physiological level, EVERYBODY needs, just to
stay alive. That is like the basic level that everyone needs.
The higher levels may not be as obvious, but most psychologists
argue that without these, we are not complete human beings.

For example, if you look further up the pyramid at the other stuff,
like Love, Esteem and Self-Actualisation you will probably start to
think that you don't need these to survive.

WRONG.

Human beings are all aiming for the higher levels. Sure, we know we
don't need a $80,000 sports car to live, but we all want one. We
all know we don't need to have a fancy job title, but most people
want an important sounding job.

When you look at the pyramid again, and you replace
self-actualisation with PRIDE (that's all it really means), you
start to see why people get so worked up in a fight or argument.

You could have a guy you don't even know yelling at you, but just
the fact that he is making a personal attack on you, it affects you
PHYSICALLY. You feel your heart going faster, you start to sweat,
you can have a red tint to your vision from the blood flow, its
insane.

So although pride is way up at the top, it affects a level way down
at the bottom. The levels are all CONNECTED.

In a fight situation, the last thing you want is to be overcome
with RAGE and FEAR, so that you just cant think straight.

Even if its not a fight situation, it could just be bullying or
intimidation. For example, a girl at your work starts bitching
about you behind your back, and you over hear it. Most women, and
in fact most guys too, wont hold back in telling them just what a
nasty bitch they were for doing that. Any episode of America's Top
Model or The Contender shows just those kind of all out arguments
that start when someone's pride is hurt.

In both situations, when you attack someone's pride, they start to
feel it physically.

This is part of the reason a lot of people get into unnecessary
fights or even get killed because they let their pride take too
much of a hit.

So what is the solution?

In a nutshell, you need to start gaining some GENUINE pride. That
way you wont get insulted easily or get pushed around. But, that
does take time to gain that kind of confidence and self-esteem, so
here is an example of something you can use.

Whether you are a guy or a girl, you will probably have to deal
with the work bully or the office back-stabbing bitch, so I'll give
you a way to deal with that.

If you hear someone trash talking you, don't get mad. They will be
embarrassed that they got caught and they will probably get very
defensive about it. Don't go on the ANGRY assault.
Instead, get cocky about it. Show that this person doesn't know how
to be insulting.

The important thing to remember, is that this is almost like an
interview for a job. They aren't insulting you because they don't
like you, they are most likely insulting or bitching about you so
they try and RANK HIGHER than your social status. They are just
testing to see how far they can push it.

By acting cocky, you are actually showing that you don't really
have a weakness.

For example, somebody insults you about the way you look. Now even
if you are insulted, and you do start to feel the adrenaline kick
in, its time to start acting.

Tell them:

"Jealousy doesn't suit you" (Said with a cheeky grin or :P)

Or:

Talk to them like they are a little cute puppy or your baby
brother/sister. Whatever you do, don't get AGGRESSIVE or make an
attack on their PRIDE.

This is why you cant use one liners. They might sound clever, but
you never know what insult they might come up with, so having like
a general default line gives you a safety net.

If you pass the "interview" you are well on your way to HUMILLATING
the attacker or bully. But the important thing to remember is you
didn't make a direct attack on THEIR PRIDE, so as far as anyone can
tell, YOUR PRIDE wasn't affected. Even if for a moment it was.

WHO NEEDS A GUN OR A KNIFE,WHEN YOU HAVE A CELL-PHONE?




One of the BIGGEST mistakes in Self Defense
is using a REAL weapon to protect yourself, such as...

- A Gun!

- A Knife!

It is such a stupid thing to do. Carrying a "real"
weapon doesn't give you the extra edge you may be
looking for ... it actually INCREASES your risk of
getting stabbed or shot yourself!

Yeah, it's a very BAD IDEA to carry a knife or
a gun if you want to defend yourself with an advantage.

In fact, you are at a DISADVANTAGE!

You don't have the the ELEMENT OF SURPRISE on
your side ... and it only gives you a "FAKE" boost
in confidence.

You may think you are "tough" and "strong"
because you carry such a lethal weapon, and you
may use it much more carelessly because of the
false confidence this weapon gives you.

Instead of avoiding dangerous situations,
all of a sudden ... YOU become dangerous!

But there are certain items you can use that
are just as lethal as a real weapon. You won't
even have to LOOK for them because you are
ALREADY carrying them.

The NUMBER ONE #1 item at hand are your KEYS!

Use your car or house key, grab it tightly
with your fist and let the sharp end of the key
stick out between your fingers.

Don't let the other guy see what you are doing
and hide the key from his vision. This way you will
have the element of surprise on your side.

If he attacks, use a palm-strike with your
other hand ... and follow up with your "key-fist"
anywhere to the head.

Now your punch will become DEADLY!

NUMBER #2 is your CELL-PHONE!

Take it out of your pocket, hide it in your
palm and RAM it into someone's throat or SMACK
the "butt" to his head with full force to K.O.
him. Make sure you only aim for his throat if
your life is in danger.

If they ask for your phone, give it to them. They
will expect you to take it out of your pocket, and
if you suspect they want MORE than your possessions,
hit them in the nose with the hardes part of the
phone.

They sure wont expect that.

NUMBER THREE #3 are COINS!

If you are facing someone who is holding a
knife in his hands ... grab all the loose change
in your pockets and throw it in his face ... giving
you a TIME-GAP or a WINDOW to escape.

The coins won't really hurt him, but it will
cause great distraction and disorientation, just
enough for you to escape!

Don't be a hero if you can still use the
EXIT option!

NUMBER FOUR #4 is your PEN!

I always carry a pen in my jacket for taking
notes. You may carry a pencil or a pen yourself
which you can use as a STABBING device!

A PEN causes a lot of HAVOC if you aim for
someone's throat. I do realize that not everyone
may have a pen at hand, but if you see one GRAB
IT!

It can safe your life!

NUMBER FIVE #5 are CREDIT CARDS!

Oh yeah, I always have them in my wallet.
These BAD BOYS can "cut" through skin very
quickly ... and if you slash someone in the
EYE, he's out!

Credit Cards are small, handy and everyone
carries them. If you SLASH someone's eye or
face ... they will back down immediately.

Now look, there are lots of OTHER ITEMS
you can use to protect yourself and fend off
an attacker. But they are not easily AVAILABLE!

There are pipes, sticks, bricks, ashtreys,
rolled up magazines and lots of other stuff
that "CAN" come in handy IF AVAILABLE.

If you do find something good, make sure
it is LONG and LIGHT!

But when you are facing a dangerous guy
on the street that is about to attack you, you
may not have the TIME to look for loose pipes
or random bricks on the street.

Of course you can use almost ANYTHING as a
weapon, but TIME and ADRENALINE will always be
against you. You have to think and act fast!

That's why I HIGHLY recommend you use what
you already have! You simply can't go wrong
with your keys or coins.

But what about bottles or glasses?

Ahh, the classic!

STAY AWAY FROM IT!

First of all, glass breaks very quickly
and you might cut yourself in the process.
Definately not a good idea.

And second, if you stab someone with something
like a glass (or a knife) your opponent may say
that it was YOU who attacked HIM, and you are
in deep trouble.

If you leave a mark on him, all he has to do
is get a doctor to take pictures and sue you.

Glass is always considered as an obvious
weapon and its difficult to prove that you were the
victim of an assault if you attack someone with
a piece of broken glass.

STABBING, someone isn't the way to end a
confrontation, it should only be used when your
life is in extreme danger.

Its a common mistake to think that anywhere other
than the head and torso isn't a fatal place to stab
someone. You can seriously injure or kill someone
if:

- You stab them in the leg
- The arm
- Even the ankle

If that wasn't enough, a sharp piece of metal,
broken glass or even a bottle can hurt YOU more than
YOU'RE ATTACKER!

A knife can hurt an attacker, they might get cut in
the struggle. But a knife is DESIGNED to attack and
kill, a piece of broken glass isn't. Not a good thing
to use to defend yourself.

The key in deciding what is a good weapon really
depends on the situation. You might be in a dangerous
situation where you are fighting to SAVE YOUR LIFE. If
that is the case, take whatever you can find.

Something thats easy to pick up, doesn't break
easily and gives you extra reach is GOOD WEAPON. It
might look a little wierd, the idea of defending
yourself with a trash can lid, or a fence post, but
they can give you the edge in a fight, ESPECIALLY
when the attacker has a weapon.

3 "Types" Of Guys Who Can't Fight


CERTAIN TYPES OF GUYS JUST CANT FIGHT!

I know I'm poking a hornets nest here but
hear me out. I've studied martial-arts and
street self-defense for many years now ... and
some things never change.

There are certain classes of guys who either
THINK they can fight, get run over like a TRUCK
if they DO fight ... or never stand up and fight
BACK!

There is a 99% chance that you fall into one
of these categories. Let me explain...

There are 3 TYPES of guys out there who will-
beyond the shadow of a doubt- get hurt in a real
street fight. Here's how they break down:

1) The BEDROOM COMMANDO

This is a classic. This guy thinks he is the
next Bruce Lee or Jean-Claude can Damme and practices
techniques & moves he sees in Hollywood movies.

He may even go to martial arts classes to get the
real THRILL out of it. He might be a member of
a gym, look all buff and confident ... but when the
moment of truth arrives and he has to fight, he
will get hurt and ends up in hospital!

Nowadays, the modern BEDROOM COMMANDO has reached
a level where he just watches MMA videos and posts on
martial arts forums all day.

A BEDROOM COMMANDO is your typical WANNABE! There
is nothing more dangerous than thinking you can
actually kick butt and survive a real street-fight
if in reality ...you wouldn't last a SECOND!

Think about it: How many times have you watched
Arnie save the world or Bruce Lee defeating an entire
ARMY of bad-guys ... and you didn't feel like how "COOL"
it would be to be able to do the same?

You join a gym to look strong, you may even sign-up
for martial-arts classes and STUDY all those videos...
but that's EXACTLY the kind of people who get hurt first
because THEY DON'T SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE!

2) The SUCKER

This is a person who uses the ENTIRE library
of predictable and common punches, kicks and strikes...
the SUCKER-PUNCH being the most classic example here.

A SUCKER is the type of person who is easiest
to beat...and usually also the guy who starts the
argument.

Bare in mind that most people out there are SUCKERS
because they don't know how to defend themselves
properly...giving you an advantage.

If you should be threatened by one of these
guys (and in 9 out of 10 cases it will be a SUCKER),
you can neutralize them fairly quickly.

Some people may find it immoral to take advantage
of a sucker...but on the other hand if a sucker wants
to do you harm, it's immoral NOT to teach him a lesson!

3) The PUSHOVER

If you ever get bullied, you my friend are what's
called a PUSHOVER.

Bullies only pick on guys who seem soft, weak and
don't have the guts to fight back. The main reason
why a typical PUSHOVER can be spotted by a potential
bully from miles away is the lack of Alpha-Male
characteristics.

Pushovers tend to have very few STRONG and DOMINANT
personality traits that define an Alpha-Male.

If you are easily intimidated, don't appear
confident and have that geeky/nerdy look about you,
then other Alpha-Males KNOW that you will never stand
up for yourself.

Once being attacked or threatened ... a PUSHOVER
never hits back but usually just shouts "Why are you
bullying me you asshole, leave me alone you jerk!".

This NEVER helps and only makes a bully coming back
for more .... making a spectacle out of you.

If you ever got bullied in the past and may wonder
WHY people always single YOU out ... the ingredient
you are lacking is RESPECT!

We will need to change that as soon as possible!

If you fall into ANY of those 3 categories ... then
you are in serious trouble! You are the PERFECT VICTIM
my friend ... and unfortunately, this the worst-case
scenario.

If you don't do anything about it RIGHT NOW, you
will get seriously hurt some day ... and bullies will
always see you as an open invitation to take advantage
of.

But it doesn't have to be this way!

The 10 BIGGEST Mistakes In A Fight


Here Are The Top 10 Reasons Why Men Get Hurt In
A Dangerous Situation, When Being Threatened Or When
They Are Involved In a Street Fight - And How To Make
Sure YOU Avoid Every One Of These Deadly Common Mistakes...

Mistake #1 - YOU PANIC OR HESITATE!

Have you ever noticed how many guys just FREEZE
on the spot when they are being threatened?

Of course you have.

Do you also know what happens next?

That's right ... they get HURT! Whenever someone
is in a dangerous situation, he will have DOZENS of
questions running through his head, like...

- Will this guy attack me?

- What should I do?

- What will he do NEXT?

- Does he have a friend waiting to ambush me?

- Does he have a knife?

- Am I in danger?

Because most guys don't have the EXPERIENCE to know
what to expect and what to do, a dangerous situation
takes them completely by surprise ... and they PANIC!

Instead of doing SOMETHING ... they do NOTHING!

They can't control the adrenaline rush, they
aren't sure how to respond, they lose focus ... and
they HESITATE!

If you don't ACT in that moment of TRUTH, I can
guarantee you 100% ... you'll get hit, injured and
end up in hospital!


Mistake #2 - YOU DON'T TAKE PRECAUTIONS

If someone is arguing with you, shouting at you
or insulting you, the first thing you MUST do right
away ... is to get your guard up!

I see it every week...

Someone is arguing over absolutely nothing, has
had too many beers and instead of being smart he just
ARGUES right back ... TURNING an already heated
situation into a dangerous threat!

In a potential fight ... most guys just DON'T TAKE
THE NECESSARY STEPS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES!

They do the exact opposite! They FUEL the argument
by PROVOKING the other guy back and behave overly
AGGRESSIVE to show how tough they are.

That's the WORST thing to do!

Instead, you should take a good DISTANCE, get
your GUARD up, assume the DEFENSIVE STANCE and use
"THE FENCE" to PROTECT YOURSELF!

Those are the RIGHT things to do!

If your opponent crosses the "Line In The Sand"
(gets too close to you), you will be PREPARED because
you TOOK the necessary PRECAUTIONS TO SHIELD YOURSELF
from a potential attack.


Mistake #3 - USING THE SUCKER-PUNCH

The most common attack on the street is the
"Sucker-Punch" or the "Haymaker". It's usually a huge
right-hand SWING or HOOK to the face.

Everybody uses it as a their first-strike choice,
and hardly anybody knows how to defend themselves
against it.

But it's a very BAD strike!

It is SLOW, PREDICTABLE and you WASTE a lot of
energy! If you miss your target, you will not only
have used up a lot of stamina and power ... you will
also be WIDE OPEN to a counterattack and be completely
thrown off BALANCE!

The ACCURACY is VERY LOW (!) as well, sitting
at nothing more than 5% ... meaning 1 in 20 Sucker-
Punches will hit it's target.

On top of that, you can pretty much see a
"Sucker-Punch" coming from 10 miles away.

If you want to hit someone ... the Sucker-Punch
SHOULD BE YOUR LAST OPTION!


Mistake #4 - PUNCHING WITH YOUR FIST ... INSTEAD OF YOUR PALM

The Street is different!

You are not in a gym, a dojo or in a ring. That's
why the RULES CHANGE! Your objective is to get out
of a potentially dangerous situation unharmed ...
as quickly as possible!

Sometimes, you may need to use your fists to
get there!

But if you MUST strike someone, NEVER use a clenched
fist to punch. ALWAYS USE A PALMSTRIKE!

The bottom half of your palm is SOLID BONE and
has a large surface area. When you hit your opponent's
head, jaw or nose ... you won't feel a thing while
he will be KNOCKED-OUT in an instant!

But your fist is made up of lots of small, individual
bones that break very easily ... your knuckles being
the most vulnerable! If you strike, it will be like
punching with individual fingers instead of a 1 WHOLE
BONE like your palm.

Also, ,ost guys just don't have that EXPERIENCE or
TRAINING to execute a punch properly! If you hit someone
hard enough with a fist to knock them down or knock
them out, you will most definately BREAK your hand!

A palmstrike is easy to use, does just as much
damage as a traditional punch and KEEPS YOU from
injuring your hand!


Mistake #5 - THINKING IT TAKES MUSCLE & SIZE TO WIN A FIGHT

The BIGGEST misunderstanding in our society is
to think that you need BIG MUSCLES to *win* a fight.

Let me clarify this once and for all:

In a potential fight, the single most important
element is SPEED! The bigger you are and the more
muscles you have ... the SLOWER you'll become.

I'll give you an example...

BRUCE LEE!

Now this guy was built like a ripped toothpick:
He could amass an INCREDIBLE POWER behind all his
strikes ... and execute them at LIGHTNING-SPEED!

There was no way you could catch him, block
any of his strikes or land a hit. He was just
TOO FAST.

I still see so many guys beefing up because
they THINK they'll get the extra advantage ...
whereas they do more harm than good.

Being STRONG doesn't mean you can hit hard.

In fact, most punches, kicks and takedowns will
only become powerful if EXECUTED PROPERLY!

That's why TECHNIQUE & SPEED is the LETHAL
COMBINATION in a fight! You won't only be able
to strike faster than your opponent can react ...
one hit will be SO POWERFUL it will hurt like
getting hit by a truck!


Mistake #6 - NOT BEING PROFESSIONAL

If you are in a situation where your safety
(or your LIFE!) is at risk, you MUST be professional
and can't let your emotions, anger, frustration or
ego take over.

In those 60 SECONDS before a potential fight, you
need to do EVERYTHING by the book and STAY FOCUSED!
Nobody will cut you any slack, you MUST be professional
or you will get hurt!

But most guys don't make the RIGHT DECISIONS in these
situations...

1) They find it too akward to just walk away or
think they must stand up for themselves when there
is no need for it.

2) They use force when they don't have to ... or they
don't use it when they should!

Being professional is what ultimately keeps you
out of harms way and allows you to walk away with a
few scratches ... or leaves you with a bruised face
and broken bones.


Mistake #7 - THINKING YOUR BLACK BELT WILL PROTECT YOU

Guys who have been practicing a Martial Art will
fall in the same trap very quickly:

FEELING INVINCIBLE!

I see this in a lot of Martial Artists, especially
with new students who haven't had a lot of REAL fighting
experience.

Dojos and Martial Art Schools used to be GREAT
places to learn effective Self Defense ... but
unfortunately not anymore.

Most have turned into Belt-Factories with only
a single purpose: Making you stay a member as LONG
as possible and extracting AS MUCH MONEY along the
way as they can.

You will rise through the ranks very quickly,
even though you might not have reached the necessary
standard to qualify. As long as you pay the fees,
you'll get what you want.

Obviously, you must learn an entire ARSENAL (!)
of techniques, moves and takedowns that are completely
NECESSARY ... to make you keep coming back and pay up.

If you are able to defend yourself on the street
when the shit really hits the fan isn't a TOP PRIORITY
AS IT SHOULD BE!

You will learn a lot of "junk" and "filler" material
that are too complicated, confusing and not even
necessary. But it keeps FUELING your ego, BOOSTS your
confidence and makes you BELIEVE you are now a real
fighting-machine.

Oh boy, this will get you in so much trouble and
danger most guys are too BLIND to see it.

Even if you have a black belt ... YOU HAVEN'T
BEEN PREPARED PROPERLY FOR THE STREET!

Your first objective on the Street isn't to fight
like the Martial Art Philosophy teaches you ... it's
to FIND A WAY OUT 'WITHOUT' using violence first!

Just because you have been practicing martial arts
and have been taught how to fight doesn't mean you can
defend yourself on the street!

Those are TWO very different things!


Mistake 8 - ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE BULLIED

Getting bullied is one of the most FRUSTRATING
things if you don't know what to do about it.

But here's where the problem lies:

If people bully you ... it's YOUR fault! A bully
has not just singled you out because he doesn't like
you or is jealous.

That's just a motive or a reason for someone to
bully you ... but it's not the TRIGGER!

What gives a bully the go ahead is YOU ALLOWING IT
TO HAPPEN!

Bullies only single a certain TYPE of person out
they are jealous about or want to pick on for whatever
reason.

But it's because people see you as an EASY TARGET
that won't fight back! It doesn't just happen at
random ... You ALLOW yourself to be such a victim!

It's that perception that can make your life
FEEL miserable. It's when you don't have what I call
"The Willingness To Fight" or "Cocky Confidence" that
KEEPS bullies AWAY from you!

If you ever got bullied, picked on or someone has
taken advantage of you ... then we need to work on
this right away!


Mistake #9 - NOT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT TO DO IN A FIGHT

Most people don't have a mental GAMEPLAN
when they have no other option but to fight.

If you don't know PRECISELY what to do next in
a dangerous situation, you will get hurt.

But because most people don't have a CLEAR,
STEP-BY-STEP GAMEPLAN in their head that describes
EXACTLY what to do ... they panic, freeze, hesitate
... and end up with a banged up face.

That's why you ALWAYS have to be one step
ahead of your opponent who wants to harm you.

It's not enough to just KNOW all the various
strikes, kicks and takedowns you 'COULD' use in
a fight.

If you have too many options but no PLAN or
DIRECTION where to take this fight ... everything
you know and have practiced will become useless.

you MUST know where you are going in a fight
and what to do next ... or you'll be toast!


Mistake 10 - NOT GETTING HELP

This is the biggest mistake of all.

This is the mistake that keeps most men from
EVER being able to defend themselves on the street
and in dangerous situations.

I know, guys don't like to make themselves look
weak or helpless. We don't like to ask for help.

Hey, I've been there myself.

Let me tell you a little about me and how I
figured out the best ways to defend myself out
there...

About seven years ago I became fed up with my
martial arts school and all the B.S. around it.

I was so sick and tired of seeing students
being taught what is best for the DOJO ... not
what is best for the student.

So I quit!

One night I was out with a friend, and I saw two
guys arguing, pushing each other's chest and finally
starting to fight. One guy got steamrolled, the other
had a broken nose.

...and they were arguing because they looked at
each other funny. Great!

I can still remember that night...right then and
there I made the decision to do whatever it took to
learn the most effective ways of self defense!

Not just the best techniques, moves and takedowns
to knock a guy out instantly ... but absolutely
everything that gets a person out of harms way.

Well, after a lot of hard work and trying all
kinds of crazy things, I finally figured it all
out.

I can not only give a guy the beating of his life
if I really have to ... I can also walk into ANY
room and make even the biggest and toughest guy
think he better not mess with me. And the best part,
I don't even have to use my fists to do that.

It has been a very rewarding experience. I no
longer feel that sick, insecure feeling... like I
must fear for my safety when I get approached by
a mean looking jerk or drunk on the street ...and
I might end with blood all over me.

INTRODUCTION TO MARTIAL-ARTS STREET DEFENCE

There was a time when people walked around the street just the way they liked.There was another time,when people walked around in groups ,with the belief that walking with numbers is a savior from threat.There was another time when people just moved around during the day and believed that ,they would only be vulnerable to attacks at night.

All that has changed now friend and now: you are not safe anywhere you are ,you just need to be careful.For the last one,two,three years;I have come across lots of so-called self-defense producers,who will tell you all forms of lies just to make you buy some books,videos,tapes etc etc

Most have bought this ,only to discover that they’d been fooled.

I decided to talk about my self-defence experience not because I need money from tapes,books etc but because I feel the need to do something for everyone around me.To share my knowledge.I am a first degree holder black belt holder in two different styles of martial arts and at present,I began a class in another style of martial arts:Karate
